Joseph Borghese has a Bachelor degree in Philosophy (BA honors) and in Education (B.Ed) He has received his master degree in Social Work (MA) and continued with a masters in International Relations (MA).
Mr Borghese is the Director-General of the organization “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center, and he is responsible for the daily operation of the organization on international level. In 2011 Joseph was a visiting professor at the Department of Social and Economic Sciences of the Comenius University in Slovakia. As a social worker he has the license to practice the profession. Joseph is an avid advisor on lobbying strategies and tactics, arranges lobby visits and carries out lobbying for policy making and on behalf of governments, NGOs, intergovernmental organizations and the private sector.
Joseph represents the organisation in intergovernmental organisations, EU institutions and UN agencies. Joseph has been coordinating numerous EU and Local projects on the rights of the child such as the JudEx +: Towards a child-friendly justice in cases of sexual violence against children, CONVEY, 116000 European Helpline for Children and Adolescents and the 116111 Missing Children Hotline. In 2017 he has coordinated the establishment of the Children’s House for cases of sexual abuse against children in Cyprus.
