The Hope For Children "Founder’s International Children’s Rights" Award goes to Kasra Mulot

"Hope For Children" CRC Policy Center (HFC), has established the "Founder’s International Children’s Rights"Award, aiming to honor individuals whose constant efforts have made a significant contribution towards advocating for Children's Rights at a National, European and International level, while supporting the vision and purpose of the humanitarian organization. This year, the recipient of the award is Kasra Mulot, a young change maker and a member of the CRC Club program at the American International School in Cyprus (AISC).

Kasra is a bright example of a young senior ambassador, who has worked hard and consistently from the very young age of 10 years old, to transfer his passion for educating children on their rights, made countless presentations at schools on topics connected to Children's Rights, and organized art exhibitions, auctions, and other events to financially support the "Homes for Hope", HFC’s shelters for unaccompanied children.

In addition to all of his great work, Kasra conducted annual summer internships at the organisation working on various activities and projects related to children’s rights. In 2019 he was chosen by the Council of Europe to represent "Hope For Children" CRC Policy Center, and Cyprus, at a review meeting for Children’s Rights in Strasbourg, where he presented the current situation concerning violence against children in Cyprus.

Finally, Kasra and the AISC team of senior Children’s Rights Ambassadors, worked tirelessly on putting together the “Passport to your rights” campaign aiming to educate children across Cyprus from 6-15 years old on their rights and responsibilities, a project that has been embraced by the Ministry of Education and will be launched in September 2022 to kick off the new academic year.

The Founder of HFC, Mr. Joseph Borghese, during the award ceremony, stated: “On behalf of all the members of HFC, we would like to thank Kasra for being a part of the team and for his devotion and passion for promoting and advocating for Children’s Rights. I wish him great success in all of his future endeavours and I strongly believe that he will continue to thrive as a philanthropist, committed to society”.
