Psychosocial Care in Migration: The Case of Unaccompanied Minors in Cyprus

This brief report details the status of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services for Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Minors in Cyprus. Unaccompanied minors constitute a vulnerable group, and they demand complex reception and treatment procedures to meet their protection needs. Therefore, the humanitarian response to ensure their rights is multifaceted and represents a challenge both for the national authorities and NGOs operating in the sector.

This study has been conducted between March and October 2021 by Ms. Arianna Tortelli and Ms. Federica Migliaccio, interns at the Research & Development Division of "Hope For Children" CRC Policy Center, within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps programme.
