H.E. the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Cyprus, Mr. Sultan Ahmed Ghanem AlSuwaidi, visited Homes for Hope, the children’s shelters operated by “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center in Nicosia. Escorted by the Director-General, Mr. Joseph Borghese, and the Director of Humanitarian Division, Ms. Andria Neocleous, H.E. Mr. AlSuwaidi, was informed about the individualized services and the educational programs provided to the children accommodated aimed to respond to their needs.
In accordance to the needs of the children, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates donated to the Organization, 10 computers, vouchers for the purchase of school clothes and stationary for all children, and one professional fridge for the shelter’s kitchen. H.E. Mr. AlSuwaidi stated that it’s a priority for the Embassy to respond to the educational needs of children, a shared principle of the Organization. The computers constitute tools that will highly contribute to the enhancement of the knowledge and skills of the children and will facilitate their social integration.
Finally, on behalf of “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center, Mr. Borghese thanked H.E. AlSuwaidi and the members of the representation of the Embassy for the generous contribution and the interest they expressed towards the important work of the Organization related to the promotion and respect of all children’s rights.
